Teaching

This course is centered around functions, equations, and inequalities, and will cover a broad range of elementary functions. Plotting and manipulating these functions, along with an understand of the geometry of trigonometric functions, will be taught in this course. Additional material includes transformations of functions, linear algebra methods to solve optimization problems, the algebra of complex numbers, arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, conic sections, probability and statistics.

This course covers mainly integral calculus and will introduce applications of integration (like physical work problems), various techniques of integration, improper integrals, and the use of parametric equations. From differential calculus we will study L'Hopital's Rule and the Generalized Mean Value theorem. Sequences and series will be covered in more detail, including studying both finite and infinite sequences and series, analyzing the convergence properties of infinite series, and Taylor series.
